  Biographical Summary
  Mr. Rackowe holds an M A degree from Cambridge University (Cambridge, England).

He has been president of International Marine Fisheries Company since 1978. The company provides world-wide services to the seafood industry.

Mr. Rackowe has over 35 years experience in the seafood industry, including executive management positions in fishing companies in the United Kingdom, Peru, Colombia and the United States of America.

He has carried out consultancy assignments to private companies, to governments and to international agencies, such as the Asian Development Bank, the International Trade Centre, the European Community, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Bank, the InterAmerican Investment Corporation, and the United States Agency for International Development, in more than 50 countries.

Mr. Rackowe's areas of expertise include marketing of fisheries products; processing of fish and shellfish; fishing vessel operations; management of seafood companies; evaluation of joint venture proposals; and has covered a number of species, including shrimp, tuna, tilapia, small pelagic species and others. He has also provided assistance to those concerned in the negotiation of international fishing agreements.

He is fluent in Spanish. He is also capable of working in Norwegian and French.

Mr. Rackowe is certified by the National Marine Fisheries Service as trained in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) concepts.
